I was in labor for 14 hours.....i only remember when my contractions started because i was im the cowboy position tryna get it in before i went in the next day to be induced. My baby was weeks late!

I would have to say my first contraction was the worse, i couldnt get up until it passed. Once it did, i went immediately to the hospital where i was told to return when i felt the head because my contractions were not reading(back labor). When my grandma took me back 6 hours later, the fun began. Omg, i got an epidural but i swear there is no drug on earth that will make you not feel your hole stretch for a head then shoulders pass through. My son was 8lbs 2oz 22 1/2 inches and i felt every part of him coming out. The pain was beyond words.
I was blessed not to have to get any stitches or staples (thank you Grandma Ruth) and was outside smoking a blunt an hour later.

Re: Special Delivery With A Side of Pain....

Definitely worth it.
I remember people would say you forget the pain....Nope them suckers are liars. I still remember teh pain even though teh contractions didn't hurt as much (i cried on my back tat...that was seriously more painful than contractions)

I ended up having a C-section as well and the recovery is more painful.. What hurt me thoe most was Mastitis....that bish right there had me doubled over. nothing worse than engorged Boobs.

you can also help against ripping or needing to get an episotomy by rubbing oil on and strecthing your perinum.

that tobasco stuff sounds tough... I remember "preparing" myself for delivery... and was calm until I got to the chapter about the Ring of fire. Somehow nothing can prepare you for such burning.. Glad I didn't have to experience that

Re: Special Delivery With A Side of Pain....

Oh yeah, the kegels are a MUST, always...babies or no babies!

Re: Special Delivery With A Side of Pain....

6 weeks just like new huh?...lol. We'll see! I'm definitely gonna have to incorporate kegels to the max lol.

I don't know if I can do natural (no meds) but I'm sure as hell not opting for a needle in my back smch.

Men better appreciate women more lol.

Re: Special Delivery With A Side of Pain....

Yeah, there is definitely stuff for the pain, some women wanna do it with no drugs, I say Good Effin Luck with that cause I can't, but I also didn't want the epidural - I wanna say they gave me demerol but idk to be honest (thats pretty bad) I was just like make it stop with whatever you got except for the needle in the back BS...

Theres no ripping, unless you get stuck in traffic on the way to the hosp and give birth in the back of a livery cab, LMAO, you'll get an episiotomy...in six weeks you're just like new, well not new-new but you know...LOL

Re: Special Delivery With A Side of Pain....

See...I don't thnk I have a high tolerance for pain. If thr is pain involved then thr needs to be some type of numbing or being put to sleep lol.

But I guess no matter the amt of pain it is all worth it regardless b/c children r a gift and its a blessing.

I do want to have kids one day but the idea of pushing out a child tht might rip me frm front to back or having thm cut me and take the baby out doesn't sound like somethng I want to rush into lol.

But I do want to a child (maybe 2) lol.

Re: Special Delivery With A Side of Pain....

I am the biggest sucker alive when it comes to pain, I think I had a fairly easy labor and delivery compared to some of the stories I've heard.

But it is true, it is all worth it, within a few weeks after giving birth I honestly couldn't even remember the pain. I also know people who have had near death experiences giving birth and still say they would do it again.

If you really want a child it is worth it. That baby will make you forget everything and everybody else in the world!
